Job Description:

Wildlife Reserves Singapore (WRS) is the operator of award-winning attractions Jurong Bird Park, Night Safari, River Safari and Singapore Zoo. Adding to WRS’ existing offerings, exciting plans are underway to rejuvenate the Mandai nature precinct to create an integrated nature and wildlife destination.  This will involve the integration of the current parks at Mandai with upcoming attractions – including a new Bird Park (relocated from Jurong), a Rainforest Park, a nature-themed indoor attraction, eco-accommodation options and green public spaces. The Mandai nature precinct will have a strong focus on promoting wildlife conservation and education, bringing the joys of nature closer to Singaporeans and international visitors alike. 
  • We are seeking a highly driven and resourceful individual to be a key lead within the Estate & Property team in Wildlife Reserves Singapore (WRS).
  • Reporting to the Chief of Estate and Property, the incumbent will provide strategic leadership to the facilities team in all aspects of master planning, maintenance, upgrades and expansion of the parks. In this critical role, the incumbent shall provide strategic directions in all matters relating to facilities management for the development of the new attractions under the Mandai rejuvenation master planning.
  • Operationally, the incumbent is required to lead the team to plan and manage all repair and preventive maintenance works for civil, mechanical, electrical infrastructures, pest management and warehouse services.  
  • The incumbent will plan, organise and direct existing service policies necessary to maintain facilities management works of the parks in a safe and effective operating condition.
  • Working with various stakeholders, he/she will establish a masterplan to provide good infrastructure for our living collection and enhance guest experience within the parks, while ensuring cost effectiveness and prudent resource allocation.

Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering
  • At least 15 years of relevant experience in facilities management
  • Strong technical and planning abilities
  • Eye for details with good aesthetic sense
  • Proven leadership ability with good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good project and budget management and competent in contract/tender administration
  • Excellent communication skills and resourcefulness in setting priorities and guiding people, process and system.
  • Possess a passion for service with excellent people skills and an ability to partner the management team and work closely with people of all levels.
